Nestled among the trees in beautiful rural Rolling Prairie, Indiana, 700 acre Silver Lake Farms is a privately owned reserve dedicated to water- and outdoor-sports. The main feature is a 30-acre lake that is sheltered by tall trees, offering pristine conditions for slalom skiing, wakeboarding and barefoot waterskiing. In addition to the shelter from wind, watersports enthusiasts rave about no "rollback" because of the gently sloping sandy beaches and plant life that surrounds the lake. A large spectator and camping area over looks the lake.
The property also features miles of hiking, running and mountain biking trails around the lake and in the woods making it an ideal family recreational area. Club members have complete access to the lake and property and can put their own boat slips in as well.
Silver Lake Farms was formerly part of a boarding school operated by the Brothers of the Holy Cross. In its past, it also served as a World War I era military training camp. The careful stewardship of the property is evident when one sees the abundant wildlife that thrives on the preserve.
